A project that was recently pointed out to me - http://www.artspacenh.org/backpack/

This project looks was a collaborative community-based project where a number of clear backpacks were handed out and contributors could decorate, fill, design them.

Natalie Jeremijenko's words here relate to the issues that i'm drawn to, in general, and definitely with my own backpack project.
